Font sizes and headlines

      Executive summary:

Font size change tags in blogger don't work.  Headline tags do, but insert paragraph breaks before and after each tag.  Headlines are automatically boldfaced.  Headline size one doesn't show in the preview, but it seems to show in the posts!

The <h#></h#> tags. controls headline size.  The behave in a very screwy manner.

These are a few sentences with the tags:

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded

Note that there are only five headlines, but if you check the html source, there are six listed.

      Getting back to headlines.

This is headline size six: <h6></h6>:
Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.

This is headline size five: <h5></h5>:
Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.

This is headline size four: <h4></h4>:

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.

This is headline size three: <h3></h3>:

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.

This is headline size two: <h2></h2>:

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.

This is headline size one: <h1></h1>:

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.

Nothing was visible above for the preview, but it works when posted!

Now, there are also font size change tags: <font size=?></font>

      This is font size one:Font.

      This is font size two:Font.

      This is font size three:Font.

      This is font size four:Font.

      This is font size five:Font.

      This is font size six:Font.

      This is font size seven:Font.

Well isn't that special.  There aren't any changes in the font size.  Still, at least it didn't insert a paragraph break I didn't want.

      Getting back to headlines:

Now, above there are no lines between the "This is headline size", and "Analysts Behind."      There are breaks between the "</h#>," and "&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; This is headline size."  If we eliminate all paragraph breaks, we get:

Aha, it inserts a paragraph break before the headline, too.

Now, let's try it with bold and italics.
      First, boldfaced:

      Next, italic:

      And now, bold and italic:

And now again, with the bold and non-bold interspersed:
This is headline size six: <h6></h6>:
Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.
This is headline size six: <h6></h6>:
Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.
This is headline size five: <h5></h5>:
Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.
This is headline size five: <h5></h5>:
Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.
This is headline size four: <h4></h4>:

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.

This is headline size four: <h4></h4>:

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.

This is headline size three: <h3></h3>:

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.

This is headline size three: <h3></h3>:

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.

This is headline size two: <h2></h2>:

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.

This is headline size two: <h2></h2>:

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.

This is headline size two: <h2></h2>:

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.

This is headline size two: <h2></h2>:

Analysts Behind Iraq Intelligence Were Rewarded.

So, headlines are automatically boldfaced.  And as examining the html will illustrate, not even putting a </strong> tag in front of it will turn the boldfacing off.  Or anyway it would, but I'm not sure it will publish, because the </strong> has no strong in front of it.  I will now attempt to publish anyway, by checking the "Stop showing errors button for this post, and if this sentence is here, it means I did get it published by doing that.
